ROTORUA – Geyserland
3 Days / 2 Nights

Rotorua the spiritual home to the Maori and host to some of the world’s most incredible earth forces. Experience what Rotorua is famous for with boiling mud, geysers, numerous geothermal activity as well as fascinating history and culture. Enjoy a hangi (feast) and concert, take a scenic flight over Mt Tarawera or just relax in mineral pools of the Polynesian Spa.

Day 1 - AUCKLAND / WAITOMO / ROTORUA
Travel south over the Bombay Hills, following the Waikato River to Hamilton, then on via Te
Awamutu to Waitomo. Enjoy a buffet lunch before visiting the Waitomo Caves. Tours to the caves include the magical boat-ride through the Glow-worm Grotto. Continue on via Lake Karapiro to arrive in Rotorua. This evening enjoy a Maori Hangi (feast) and concert.

Day 2 - ROTORUA / TAUPO / ROTORUA
Depart from Rotorua for an exciting tour through a geothermal area to Taupo. Time is allowed to walk through geothermal areas, view geysers, Wairakei geothermal region and Huka Falls before enjoying optional activities (own expense). Optional activities could include Huka Jet, the Prawn Farm, a cruise on Lake Taupo or bungy jumping. Returns to Rotorua by 4pm.

Day 3 - ROTORUA SIGHTSEEING
Rotorua is the centre of the geothermal region of New Zealand and is also the main centre for Maori culture. Boiling mud, geysers and silica deposits surrounding the lake attract visitors from all over the world. Enjoy a half day thermal tour - visit Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve, Rainbow Springs & Farm Show and Lake Rotorua. The afternoon is at leisure before boarding your coach which will return you to downtown Auckland at approximately 8:15pm. (Evening snack included).
