MOTORHOMES

Motorhomes, or campervans, offer the ultimate in freedom to travel as and where you like. Whilst over night road side stops are discouraged in many places, New Zealand has a fabulous range of Motor parks often near rivers or parks that offer superb facilities to motorhome users.
Motorhomes range in size from the small 2 berth unit with or without a toilet and shower through to the larger 6 berths vehicles. Click on the following links for prices and descriptions.

New Zealand is an ideal touring destination for those who want the freedom and flexibility to drive themselves. Scenery can change dramatically within quite short distances. By international standards, traffic is relatively light on main roads outside the major cities.
State Highways are generally one lane in each direction, sealed, well sign posted, with wide shoulders and regular passing bays. Multilane motorways or freeways are only found on approaches and through major cities. Distances (and speed limits) are shown in kilometres per hour.
Whilst the open road speed limit is 100 Kilometres per hour (kph)/ 60 mph, we recommend that you allow an average of 80 kph when planning your trip to allow for traffic delays, rest and photo stops. Don't forget that New Zealander’s drive on the left hand side of the road!
