ABEL TASMAN GUIDED WALK

Five Day Guided Walk

Day 1: Nelson to Awaroa
Pick up at your hotel in Nelson or Motueka. Coastline cruise from Kaiteriteri to Totaranui Walk north from Totaranui to Anapai Bay - or further if you are energetic before heading south to the Homestead Lodge at Awaroa.

Day 2: Explore Awaroa
Explore the tidal estuary by canoe or on foot. Visit various early European or pre-European sites. Unwind on the beach.

Day 3: Walk from Awaroa to Torrent Bay

Today's walk takes you through native forests, past headlands, through estuaries, and onto soft sandy beaches. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Bark Bay with time for a swim or explore the lagoon and see the waterfalls. Then on to Torrent Bay Lodge where afternoon tea awaits your arrival.

Day 4: Explore Torrent Bay

Today there is a choice of many beautiful short walks, including a guided walk inland among first generation forest to the spectacular Falls River waterfalls or, canoe around the Torrent Bay estuary.

Day Five Walk from Torrent Bay to Marahau

The well graded track provides views of the bays as you follow the coastline to Marahau where a coach awaits to return you to Motueka or Nelson.

Includes:

• Share twin lodge accommodation, all meals and bedding

• Day Pack

• Lodge Luggage Bag and transfer of luggage

• Use of canoes

• Launch cruise

• Coach transfers to and from Motueka or Nelson

Note: 3 day guided walk same as above minus days 2 and 4
