FIRST CLASS

The Cove
213 Lake Terrace, Taupo

An intimate property of just 19 rooms, the Cove is located a four minutes drive – or 10 minute walk from the centre of Taupo township. The property, with it’s distinctive architecture and design, has 12 suites, 6 studio rooms and The Sunset Suite and restaurant right on the lakefront. All rooms have individually controlled air conditioning, desk with modem, direct dial phone and satellite TV, mini-bar, hair dryers, iron and ironing board. Studio rooms have Queen beds, with some featuring views or private balcony. Suites feature a living room and separate bedroom with Super King bed and en suite bathroom with shower and bath.
The hotel offers free on site parking, complimentary guest laundry, 5 days a week dry cleaning (additional charge), reception and room service from 7.00am to 10.00pm. The Landing Restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.
 

Wairakei Resort
State Highway 1, Taupo

Located in the heart of the Wairakei Thermal Park, the Wairakei Resort is recognized as one of New Zealand's premier resort locations. It is situated just 9 km from the town of Taupo and Lake Taupo itself. The Resort has 187 well-appointed guest rooms and villas, providing guests with the utmost comfort. There are a number of room configurations available from Standard Rooms, providing a double and single bed in each room, through to Executive Suites, which have a separate lounge area, a king or two double beds and are fully air-conditioned. Forty-three of the rooms have uninterrupted views of the mountains and Lake with the remaining 8 beside the heated swimming pool. Lakeland of Taupo

Lakeland of Taupo is situated on the shores of Lake Taupo, New Zealand’s largest lake and world renowned for its trout fishing and scenery. The hotel overlooks the lake and is set amidst landscaped grounds complete with tennis court, swimming and spa pools. The hotel offers relaxing and comfortable accommodation, conference rooms and popular restaurant and house bar. There are 64 studio rooms comfortably furnished with one queen and one single bed. All rooms feature an ensuite bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities, mini-bar, Sky TV, radio alarm clock, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Non smoking rooms are available on request. Guest services include full laundry facilities including self service laundry and same day dry-cleaning. There is plenty of off street car parking.

Huka Lodge
Huka Falls Road, Taupo

Arguably one of New Zealand’s best known lodges, with a history spanning back to the 1920’s, Huka Lodge is today regularly rated amongst the top lodges in the world. Set in 7 hectares of park like grounds on the banks of the Waikato River – fed by the clear, trout rich waters of Lake Taupo and located just above the awesome Huka Falls, the lodge offers a discrete, private retreat. The twenty spacious, light and airy guest suites are set in amongst mature trees just twenty meters from the river’s edge. Each suite offers every comfort from mini-bar to walk in wardrobe, outdoor terraces, and bathrooms with sunken baths, under-floor heating, showers and double basins.
As is to be expected, the lodge offers a superb range of exquisite food and beverages. The main lodge encompasses reception, dining room, the Lodge room and Trophy room. Several options exist for dining be it the dining room to enjoy the company of other guests, the outside terrace or private table under the stars. Hot pools, tennis court, petanque or walks through the grounds are available to those who can drag themselves away from the lap of luxury.

Acacia Point Lodge
11-13 Sylvia Place, Acacia Bay

This superb stone and cedar estate is located right on the side of Lake Taupo, set in one and a half acres enjoying panoramic lake, country and mountain views. Just five minutes drive from the Lake Taupo township, four luxuriously appointed suites with Super King beds open onto gardens and balconies with lake and garden views. Suites have tea and coffee making facilities, internet connections and feature deluxe double ensuite bathrooms.
The lodge offers a tennis court, heated swimming pool, nine hole putting green, spa, sauna, library, home theatre, games room and billiard room.
The rate includes pre-dinner drinks, canapes, four course dinner and gourmet breakfast with transfers to/from Taupo airport when required and use of all facilities.
